This for me is actually ok because I always prefer privacy over ease. Even Apple News is full of snippets on upgrading to Catalina with caution. Perhaps we will know better in coming days. So I moved things over to Mojave laptop and it worked as usual. This does not happen on Catalina it just sits at starting forever. On the Monterey machine, after hitting start, it prompts for the password for access. Works fine on a Mac with Monterey (12.2.1). This does make sense from a little experiment.I moved the ISO inside etcher.right click etcher and show contents.so path would look like this /Applications/balenaEtcher/Contents/MacOS/xxxx.iso. ![]() And Sandboxing has been made a lot stricter. Before getting started with using Etcher to burn Linux ISO file, we will start with a small comparison between Etcher and Rufus. So Rufus usually comes with the first choice when it comes to ISO burning. From what I read from internet, Apple has stated specifically during launch of Catalina that NO APP including system ones can move data without users explicit permission. Rufus is the most popular option to burn ISO to USB and Rufus project was started in 2003. I did that.even disabled SIP and still didn’t work.
